Jessica Marsh
CEO, Co-founder

Jessica Marsh co-founded Neon Moon Records out of a passion for helping artists build sustainable careers in music. With over a decade of experience working in various aspects of the industry, Jessica has proven success as an artist manager - developing acts from songwriter stages to international touring acts through her company JAM Music. She is now focusing on the opportunity to support more artists through Neon Moon Records. 

 

Jessica started her career with the Alberta Music Industry Association, focusing on programming and projects, preparing grant applications and assisting in showcase and export development opportunities nationally and internationally. She is a graduate of MacEwan's Music Program and Arts & Cultural Management Program, has worked with The Salmon Arm Roots & Blues Festival, The Edmonton Folk Festival, and SXSW Festival.

 

Marsh is currently a sessional instructor at MacEwan University, teaching the Business of Music course to students graduating from the degree program. She has been a sought-after mentor and guiding force in many artist's careers and will continue to do so through Neon Moon Records.

Nich Davies
A&R, Co-founder

Nich Davies is a Canadian record producer, A&R, multi-instrumentalist, composer and creative entrepreneur. Nich is co-founder, President and A&R of Canadian boutique music company Hurry Hard Records; responsible for the careers of artists VISSIA and Carl Glacier, co-founded it's sister label Neon Moon Records, spearheaded the AB Arts Action Music Production Residency program at Benalto Sound Artist Residence and Creative Hub, and is developing several artist-development centric ventures and productions under the songplode brand.

 

Nich's productions have received broad international praise by the likes of Exclaim! (Canada), Maverick Magazine (UK), Wonderland (UK) and NEXT Magazine (Canada) - UK’s Culture Fly said “we’re hooked”, Canada’s Eat North called it “truly unique”, UK’s Noctis “”insightful and refreshing”, USA’s Great Dark Wonder described it as “phenomenal”, while Indie Music said it’s “near perfect”.

 

Nich will lead Neon Moon Records A&R team working with Artists to develop their catalogues for the international market. Nich has active relationships with several Canadian funding bodies including FACTOR, AFA, Canada Council for the Arts and Alberta Media Fund.  Hurry Hard is affiliated with CIMA, CMI, MMF, SOCAN, SOCAN RR, Connect Music Licensing, Symphonic, AMPED and Alberta Music. 

Rebecca Emms

Rebecca Emms is a music publicist, multi-instrumentalist, and synth-rock artist from Red Deer, Alberta - now based in Toronto, Ontario.

 

Starting off as a publicist doing work for her own musical projects (TOVI, Girl Meets Bear) Emms expanded into planning and executing PR campaigns for other artists across Canada, officially founding New Pony Music PR in 2018. 

 

Since then, New Pony has worked with a variety of artists including Dave Monks (Tokyo Police Club), Good Fortune (Kelsey McNulty of Great Lake Swimmers), Yes We Mystic, VISSIA, John Muirhead, GENTLE, and Claire Davis. Her clients have been featured on CBC Radio 1 and 2, Exclaim!, Indie88 Toronto, Canadian Musician Podcast, The Bluegrass Situation, Edmonton Journal, SOCAN Words & Music Magazine, and many more.

 

Working alongside Neon Moon Records, Emms puts an emphasis on understanding the unique style and vision of each artist she works with - while optimizing the reach of their music to potential new fans across Canada and the world.

Naomi Kerchinsky
Marketing

Naomi Kerchinsky is a content and digital marketing specialist. She is strategic and has a rich imagination, making her a force in marketing. 

 

Music has always been a big part of her life. Her step mother's first husband was a touring musician in Australia in the '70s, her brother's played in bands all through her 20s, and she often helped spread the word about upcoming shows.

 

In 2011, Naomi was part of the team that launched Fratters Speakeasy in Red Deer, Alberta. As a promoter and booker for the venue, she brought in more music, hiring touring acts such as The Strumbellas, Jeremy Fisher, Danny Michel, and Tom Wilson, as well as numerous local acts. 

 

Working alongside Neon Moon Records, Naomi works closely with each artist on the label to help create sustainable careers, finding ways for them to tell their story online, find more interested fans, and create solid fan bases.

Laura Banyai
Operations

Laura Banyai is a multi-talented artist, entrepreneur, and administrative guru. She is passionate about helping others achieve their goals. She has a background in operations, production, management, graphic design, and HR, and is a recent graduate of Art and Design at Fleming College. 

 

Music is a staple in Laura's life and she has been working in festival and event production for over 10 years, assisting at festivals and organizations such as CJSW 90.9FM, CFMF, SledIsland, CMW, BluesFest, Festival Hall, and many other local events, festivals, and shows. 

 

Working alongside Neon Moon Records, Laura is the oil that keeps the gears moving, she manages the operations, bridges communication, and aids in the success of artists.
